Account Migration Guide for Users with Multiple Plans

Account Migration Guide for Users with Multiple Plans

We are upgrading ScrapeHero Cloud and due to a major upgrade there are some major changes. While we will try to keep the impact on our customers to a minimum, we do want to describe the changes that will happen as part of this upgrade.

If you're currently subscribed to multiple plans on ScrapeHero Cloud, this guide is for you. We're simplifying our pricing structure to offer a single plan that covers both scraper apps and APIs. Here's what you need to know:

What's Changing?

• Your multiple plans will be consolidated into one plan.
• The new plan will cover both Scraper apps and APIs.
• You'll have a single set of data credits for all your scraping needs.
• The subscription date will be updated to the date when the migration of your account occurs.
• The website will be changed from cloud.scrapehero.com to app.scrapehero.com.

How Will Your New Plan Be Determined?

1. We'll add up the total cost of your current plans
2. You'll be assigned to the closest lower-priced plan in our new structure
For example: If you currently pay $300 total for a Starter ($50) and a Pro ($250) plan, you'll be moved to the new Pro plan at $250.

How is this going to be rolled out?

  1. Migration Date: We'll set a specific date to migrate all accounts to the new consolidated plan structure.
  2. New Plan Charge: On the migration date, we'll charge you for your new consolidated plan.
  3. Credit-Based Discount: If you have remaining credits on your existing plans, we'll apply a discount to your new plan charge. Here's how we'll calculate it:
    1. We'll determine the percentage of remaining credits for each of your current plans.
    2. We'll calculate a weighted average of remaining credits across all your plans. Here's how:
      1. For each plan, we'll multiply its percentage of remaining credits by its weight (plan cost divided by total cost of all plans).
      2. We'll sum these weighted values to get the final weighted average percentage.
    3. We'll apply this weighted average percentage as a discount to your new consolidated plan charge.
  • Example

Consider the example where you have 2 plans. One of $300 and the other of cost $100

    Suppose
          - The remaining credits for Plan A ($300) - 71.52%
          - The remaining credits for Plan B ($100) - 92.52%

    Weighted Average of discounts = (0.75 * 71.52%) + (0.25 * 92.52%) = 53.64% + 23.13% = 76.77%

    Consolidated new plan = $250

    Discount percentage = 76.77%
    Discount amount = $250 * 76.77% = $191.93

     Final charge = $250 - $191.93 = $58.07
